Video Analytics
Video Analytics
RTS’ Smart products incorporate proprietary video analysis and image processing technologies to detect, identify and track objects in real-time. Configuration of a security profile for each camera view (rules, plus virtual boundaries and regions) enables the system to generate pre-programmed responses, translating into greater security with reduced false alarms and significant cost savings.
RTS’ video analytics capabilities include:
Virtual Fence Detection
Real-time intelligent video motion and behaviour monitoring in any direction and to any size. Used to secure perimeters and borders. Equipped with a function to trigger an alarm (objects travelling in any direction) that sends notification to the main station, a hand-held device or e-mail. Records and archives captured data.
Environmental Condition Compensation
The state-of-the-art patented environmental compensation boosts the performance of video analytics in outdoor surveillance by as much as 96%. Recognition techniques detect severe weather conditions including snow, glare and shadow which allows for more accurate real event detection. Used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Count and Profiling Detection
Designed to accurately identify and count the number of persons or objects both indoor and outdoor. Smart Count distinguishes between people, animals, vehicles and other moving objects. Provides reports on traffic flow and direction.
Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR)
Used to identify, record and organize vehicles by recognizing license plates. Capable of performing under different lighting conditions and at extreme camera angles. Ability to recognize up to 32 different languages. Ability to create logs by capturing vehicle license plates on entrances or exists, and compare against a database in real-time or offline.
Abandonment Detection
Designed to identify and track objects left behind in defined areas which might impose a security risk. This feature has the ability to detect illegal or overnight parking. It can also be used to detect blockages on highways caused by broken down or abandoned vehicles. Identifies unattended baggage in airports which might impose a security risk. Generates an alarm in a timely manner to authorities.
Object Alteration Detection
Object alteration is a superior function in detecting both the removal and the add-on of an object.
Theft or removal detection
Designed to detect stolen objects by instantly identifying the removal of a particular item from the scene. The user can choose to generate an alarm instantly or allow for temporary removal of an object that is restored to the same location within a specified amount of time.
Left behind detection
Recognizes any dropped off objects to a scene either instantly or by allowing time for the restoration of its original location. An alarm can be generated in a timely manner.
Loitering Detection
Ability to identify a person or an object when they fully or partly enter a targeted region for a defined amount of time. The user has the flexibility to choose the size of the region as well as the amount of time the person or object has to remain in the region before an alarm is triggered.
Tailgating Detection
Designed to recognize suspicious double entry through a one access control point for objects or humans that violate sec
urity policies. Quick alerts can be generated to allow quick response and reduce security threats.
Special Attribute Detection
Identifies individuals with various special features such as clothes colours, special visitor, badges, radiation signage and much more. This feature can be used for indoor or outdoor surveillance
Object Classification
Designed to detect the type of different objects such as animals versus humans, trucks versus buses and a number of other possibilities. This feature is customized to differentiate between different assets automatically.
Audio and Sound Classification
Ability to hear what is happening without being physically there. This feature picks up any desired abnormal audio on a premise like shooting, fights, crashes, hard braking and other audio based activities. An alarm is generated immediately so that the appropriate action can be taken accordingly.
Slip and Fall Detection
Designed to instantly detect an individual who slips and falls. Equipped with a function to alert the appropriate security personnel for immediate actions.
Crowd Detection and Management
Designed to detect a predefined area that is overcrowded. Users have the flexibility to define a limit for the number of people, number of vehicles, or any other object before an alarm is triggered. In addition, there is a feature to count the number of people or objects for statistical planning purposes.
Face Detection
Detect intruder features at entry points. The plug-in alert operates to recognize features such as covered faces, lowered hats, partial clothing and much more. Note: Face detection feature may have a conflict with the Privacy Act and it should be verified with the provincial authorities before enabling this feature.
Camera Tampering Detection
Detects a variety of tampering conditions including; loss of video signal, deliberate redirection of camera, blocking, lens covering, paint spraying, and loss of visibility. Alerts are immediately sent so that corrective or preventative measures are taken.
Flow Management
Designed to detect activity patterns and flow directions in routes, entrances, exits and stairways, and identify any flow that is against their circulation. This is crucial for the general security and safety of individuals in a congested public area.
Target Lock and Track
Ability to use stationary cameras to identify a target or threat and subsequently initialize a PTZ camera to zoom into that suspicious activity or character. This is done to capture event details and lock into the targeted view which then can be controlled by analytics. This feature reduces the need for personnel to be present at the scene for investigation.
